The problem
Nicotine advertising is already tightly restricted, and it's about to get much tighter. The Tobacco and Vapes Act 2026 brings in a full ad and sponsorship ban for vapes and nicotine pouches from 1 June 2027.
Today, the ASA already holds retailers responsible for ads their affiliates place. Tomorrow, almost any promotion will be off limits.
Most brands don't know how much of their existing content, partnerships and social would fall foul.
What we check
Every asset is checked against current and incoming rules:
- Tobacco and Related Products Regulations 2016 and CAP rule 22: where nicotine vape ads are and aren't allowed.
- Tobacco and Vapes Act 2026: the ad and sponsorship ban from June 2027.
- Tobacco Advertising and Promotion Act 2002: indirect promotion and brand imagery.
- Your own standards: required messages and how products can be shown.
You get a verdict, the rules at stake and a recommended fix, in under a minute.
